McCardle, V. John
V. John McCardle, 78, of Brandon, Iowa, died Friday, July 2, 2010, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo following a short illness. He was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Hazleton, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Beverly; one son, Larry (Diana) McCardle of Brandon; and two daughters, Ellen (Norm) Woods of Colo, Iowa, and Susan (Danny) Johnson of Independence, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 5, at White Funeral Home in Independence. There will be a military service beginning at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brandon Cemetery, Brandon. Friends may call for visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
