McCall, Ralph W.
Ralph W. McCall, 64, died Monday, April 18, 2011, in his home. Graveside services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville, with Pastor Barb Krueger officiating. A gathering of friends and relatives will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; a daughter, Michelle McCall and friend Rod Dickey of Mechanicsville; sons, LeRoy (Tricia) of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Larry and his friend, Regina Krenik of Mechanicsville; five grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and sisters, Mary (Burton) Rodman of Solon and Thelma Hubler of Lisbon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence.
Ralph was born Jan. 27, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, to Art and Verna Baker McCall. He married Martha Merlow on Nov. 16, 1966, in Mechanicsville. Ralph had worked as a farmer and at Wilson Foods in Cedar Rapids. For the last 29 years, he was a trucker for Don Hummer Trucking.
