McBride, Karen Denise
Karen Denise McBride, 52, of Arroyo Grande, Calif., and formerly of Cedar Rapids, died in her home after a long illness.
Karen was born May 17, 1957, to Henry and Clauda Mason. She had four brothers: Marvin Ellard of Jacksonville, Fla., Michael (Sun) Mason of Portage, Ind., Kevin (Erlinda) Mason of Ariton, Ala., Jonathan (Joanne) Mason of Cedar Rapids; and one sister, Barbara Gamble of Seattle, Wash.
She married Patrick McBride and they had two daughters, Brandy (Jason) Murphey of Cedar Rapids and Casey Carter of Fort Madison.
Karen was preceded in death by her father Henry and sister Belinda.
She enjoyed working in the health care field taking care of mentally challenged and disabled people. Her strong will and deep compassion for others will truly be missed.
No memorial service will be held.
