Monticello
Maynard Lewis, 70, of Monticello, Iowa, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 26, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello. Visitation will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church prior to the funeral services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Baldwin will officiate.
Maynard was born Nov. 12, 1947, the son of Donald and Evalyn (Supple) Lewis. He spent most of his working life in various construction jobs. He loved fishing, canoeing and hunting.
Survivors include his siblings, Ken Lewis, Terry (Linda) Lewis and Madonna (Steve) Koob, all of Monticello, and JoAnn Egger of Anamosa; brother-in-law, Chuck Pierce of Cascade; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Carl Gudenkauf, Gerri Pierce and Peg and Carl Merfeld; and a brother-in-law, Ron Egger.
