Mayme L. Hotz, 95, of Lone Tree, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at Pioneer Park in Lone Tree. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery. Following committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at Lone Tree American Legion. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Mayme.

Mayme Leona Weber was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Bessie Anna (Wingler) Weber. On Sept. 18, 1940, Mayme was united in marriage to Ernest J. Hotz in Iowa City. She farmed her entire life with her husband until his passing.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers and cooking, but most of all, Mayme loved to spend time with her family.
Mayme will be deeply missed by her children, Russell D. Hotz and his wife, Doris, of Lone Tree and Beverlyn K. Bontrager of Lone Tree; son-in-law, Ronald J. See of Solon; grandchildren, Rodney Hotz and his fiancee, Ammie Neal, Daniel Bontrager and his wife, Kristi, Mike Bontrager and his wife, Danette, Lonnie Bontrager, John See and his wife, Vicki, Justin See and his wife, Janice, Tim See and Rebecca See; great- grandchildren, Cindy Dake and her husband, Adam, Jacob See, Allison See, Travis Carr, Emily Combs and her husband, Andy, and Alicia Dee and her husband, Matt; one sister, Ella Kiefer of Crown Point, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
Mayme was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Patricia Ann See; one grandson, Melvin; and two sisters, Blanche Prybil and Lily Barta.
