Max R. Rider, 63, of Marengo, died suddenly Saturday, March 28, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Private graveside services will be at Circle Grove Cemetery, Troy Mills. There will be no visitation. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; a daughter, Tracee Ann Dembinski (Jeff) of St. Mary's, Iowa; a grandson, Logan Ballard of St. Mary's; a brother, Rex Rider (Sue) of Marengo; and a sister, Irene Matthess (Joe) of Marengo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Ella Auen Rider; and a son, Robert John, in 1971.
