Max W. Miller, 82, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Luzerne, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Meth-Wick in Cedar Rapids, following a long illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the Christ United Methodist
Church in Belle Plaine, with the Rev. Steven Hubbell officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Burial will be in the Ladora Cemetery.
Max was a longtime Benton County farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Kathy (Ron) Johnson, Ames, Thomas (Brenda) Miller, Luzerne, Mark (Cathy) Miller, Luzerne, Julie (John) Freeman, Cedar Rapids, Joanne (Doug) Schminke, Belle Plaine and Matthew (Trisha) Miller, Luzerne; sister, Delores (Marvin) Wickwire; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
