Mavis L. Minar, 77, of Clarence, died Saturday morning, April 4, 2015, in her home. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence, by Pastor Lynn Butterbrodt. Burial: Clarence Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Born April 7, 1937, in Maquoketa, the daughter of Andrew and Pauline Stowers Browne, she married Gary Minar on May 3, 1963, in Wyoming, Iowa. He died April 5, 2010.
Mavis enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Rex of Clarence, Darrin (Renee) of LeMars and Brett (Melissa) of Lowden; daughter, Roxann (Dean) Pospisil of Mount Vernon; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Marla Rae Grose of Maquoketa; and brothers, Alden (Donna) Browne and Adrian (Bonnie) Browne of Maquoketa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
