MAVIS KRATZER

Mavis M. Kratzer, 93, of Center Point, died of old age Friday, March 7, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital,
Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, by Pastor Mike Ellson. Family will greet friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point.
Survivors include her son, Dan Kratzer of Center Point; sister-in-law, Evelyn Durow of Center Point; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett; son, Ronnie; and sisters, Hazel Augustine and Norma Rick.
Mavis was born April 24, 1920, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Boyles) Albones, in Center Point, Iowa. She attended school in Urbana and then was united in marriage to Everett Kratzer. He died in 1995.
Mavis worked as an inspector for Rockwell from 1959 to 1982.
She loved to fish, play cards, go to garage sales and enjoyed traveling.
