Maureen Markham, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died at home Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at St.
Pius X Catholic Church,
Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Philip Thompson. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Mike; sons, John Markham of Cedar Rapids, Mike Markham of Manchester and Tony Markham of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, June Markham of Cedar Rapids; and four grandchildren.
Maureen was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Ennis, Ireland, the daughter of Frank and Mollie (Shanon) Burke Sr. On Dec. 31, 1956, she married Mike Markham in Ireland. Maureen was a homemaker and a faithful member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, playing piano and attending prayer meetings and was also an Eucharistic minister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Anna Marie Markham; and a brother, Frank Burke Jr.
