Darrell passed away at his home in Arlington, Texas on Oct. 6, 2013, after a long illness.
He was born to Keith and Lorna Matthews on Sept. 12, 1956, in Fairbanks, Iowa. He married Marilyn Kramer in 1990 and they moved to Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and a brother, David Matthews.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Matthews; two stepsons, Rod Andrews of Arlington, Texas and Rick Andrews of Blairstown; and his brother, Allen Matthews of Fairbanks. Darrell will be missed by his many friends and family.
His ashes will be returned to his hometown in Iowa. There will be a celebration of life for family and friends on Nov. 9 at Ozone in Urbana from 2 to 5 p.m.
