Matthew William Daily, 34, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away suddenly following health issues at home Monday, December 23, 2024.
Matthew was born August 12, 1990, in Cedar Rapids, IA the son of Bill and Marcia (Adams) Daily. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School the class of 2009. Following high school Matt went to Kirkwood Community College and graduated from their Automotive Collison Repair program. He went to work with his brother-in-law at Phil Marshall Construction, where he worked until 2017 when he began working at Precision Sheet Metal.
Matt was known for his big heart. He loved the outdoors. Matt could often be found spending time fishing and hunting with family and friends. He enjoyed gardening and canning. An important part of life was serving the community which he called home. Matthew was a dedicated member of the Belle Plaine Fire Department.
He is survived by his parents, Marcia and Bill Daily of Belle Plaine; girlfriend, Nicole Jurgens; her son, Braylon of Keystone; sister, Somer (Phil) Marshall of Marengo; brother, Adam Daily of Belle Plaine; nieces and nephews, Koal, Kayne, Jack, Maeci Marshall and Onyx Daily; and many more loving family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Belle Plaine High School, with Russ Spading officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday, December 30th at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.neuhausfuneralservice.com.
