Masey, Linda Jensen
Linda Jensen Masey, 65, of Oelwein, died July 16, 2013, at Mercy Hospital, Oelwein. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Christ United Presbyterian Church, Oelwein. Burial at a later date in Oran Township Cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Geilenfeld Funeral Home, Oelwein.
Born March 21, 1948, in Waterloo, to Melvin and Betty (Neuman) Jensen, she married Tom Masey on Aug. 8, 1969, at Christ United Presbyterian Church, Oelwein. Linda graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 1966 and Allen School of Nursing in 1969. She was a retired registered nurse (2010) and missionary in Kenyan, Africa.
Surviving are her husband, Tom; daughter, Christina Masey of Oelwein; four grandchildren, Collin, Conner, Helen “Betsy” and Jensen Halligan; and her father, Melvin Jensen of Waverly.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Cael Masey Halligan; and her mother, Betty.
A memorial fund has been established in Linda's name.
