Maryann Bitner, 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away June 15, 2016. Visitation will be Friday, June 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
Maryann was born Nov. 6, 1939, in Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Monica (House) Bocken. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish Maryann's memories are her husband of 36 years, Ralph; children, Ann (Tom) Jubeck of Marion and Matt (Sarah) McGough of Grand Rapids, Mich.; brothers, Robert (Ellen) Bocken and James "Mahoney" (Kathy) Bocken, both of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Monica (TJ) Dolezal, Tom (Ashley) Jubeck, Samantha (Rob) Eisenman, Patrick McGough and Elizabeth McGough and fiance Daniel Davenport; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Sylvie and Elias; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great- niece, Sydney Bocken.
The family would like to thank St. Luke's staff for the loving care and compassion given to Maryann during her illness and time of need.
A memorial fund has been established in Maryann's name.
