Mary S. Wignall, age 70, from Lakeville, MN, passed away at home on February 17, 2024. Known affectionately as Nana and Mare, she was a devoted wife and an extraordinary woman whose vibrant spirit touched everyone she met.
She worked at FMC in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and swiftly became their first-ever female Purchasing Agent.
Mary had a passion for life that was infectious. Her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of her delicious recipes, a testament to her love for cooking and family dinner nights.
She gave her heart to others and uplifted everyone around her. Mary was active in helping local families impacted by cancer.
Although she is gone too soon, Mary’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Mary is survived by the love of her life and husband Tom, her children Zach (Brittney), Tim (Krista), and Caitlin (Donnie), as well as her grandchildren Camden, Gavin, Blakely, and Baby Girl Wignall due around the time of Mary’s birthday. She was a middle child of five children, raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her siblings are Dennis Spain, Harold Spain (passed), Michael Spain, and Lou Ann Anderson.
A celebration of life will be held at Legends Golf Club, 8670 Credit River Blvd., Prior Lake, MN on April 27 from 2-4 PM.
