Mary E. Wolfe Smith, 85, of Mount Vernon, passed away Dec. 17, 2014. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at First Presbyterian Church, Mount Vernon. Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon. Burial: Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
Surviving Mary are her children: Mike (Valerie) and their son, Jordan; Ed and his children, Ginger, Josh and Briann; Kevin and his children, Nicole, Brooke and Dustin; Liz (Buzz) Burgess and their children, Matt, Lindsey, Luke, Jessica and John; Bob (Susie) and their children, Christopher, Ashley and Skylar; and Jude Smith (Greg Raupp); 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Liz Kroul, John (Betty) Wolfe, Bob Wolfe and David Wolfe. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Bitsi Wolfe, Jeri Smith, Shirley (Don) Steffen, Ellen (Frank) Hicks and Sherry Mather; and brother-in-law, Jim (Sheryll) Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas L. and Wilma Wolfe; her husband, John; and brothers, Richard, Daniel and Thomas Wolfe.
Mary was born April 13, 1929, in Mount Vernon. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School. Mary was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon.
Mary enjoyed garage sales, bingo and playing cards.
The pride of her life was the time spent with her children and grand-children.
Memorials in Mary's honor may be given to Mount Vernon Schools/Kids in Need Fund, or First Presbyterian Church.
