Mary E. Sieren, 97, of Sigourney, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the Sigourney Health Care Center.
Survivors include one son, Jerome (Marsha) Sieren of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Annette Rose of Hedrick and JoEllen (Paul) O'Rourke of Sigourney; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Justin Hammen of Harper, Herbert Hammen of Washington and Harold (Donna) Hammen of Cedar Rapids; and a sister-in-law, Martha Hammen of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Forrest in 2000; son, Phillip in 1975; three brothers, Charles Hammen in World War II, Leonard Hammen and Paul Hammen; and one sister, Elenore Hammen.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 17, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Sigourney. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney where there will be a rosary and wake service at 4 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
A general memorial fund has been established.
