MARY M. SERBOUSEK
Center Point
Mary M. Serbousek, 100,
of Center Point, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at Hiawatha Care Center. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Mike Townsley. Burial will take place at Alice Cemetery, near Center Point.
Mary was born Aug. 30, 1918, in rural Center Point, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Smrha) Rabik. On March 9, 1935, she was united in marriage to Leonard Serbousek. Mary worked at the Benion's Nursing Home and was a homemaker. She enjoyed music, especially polkas and Leo Greco.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her granddaughters, Brenda Carnicle, Sharyl (Terry) Voss and Sharon (Duane) Weekly; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Drake, Cassandra Curd, Dustin Martin, James (Allison) Voss, Cody Voss and Chelsey Voss; great-great-grandchildren, Michael, Malcom, Brenda, Christina, Lucas and Sarah; sister, Louise Bolton; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; daughter, Evelyn Edaburn; and three sisters.
Memorials in Mary's memory may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.
