Mary Rose, 93, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021. A visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at Cedar Memorial Park Stateroom. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A livestream of
the service will be available on the Cedar Memorial website under Mary's obituary, under the video tab starting on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at 1 p.m. Inurnment will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Cross.
She was born on Nov. 12, 1928, to Loren and Mildred (Mittan) Carver in Bertram, Iowa. Mary graduated from Franklin High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, spending time with family and friends and the Eastern Stars. She was a proud member of the organization for 70 years.
Mary is survived by her children, John Buresh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jerry (Terry) Buresh of St. Charles, Mo., Diana Buresh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dorothea Buresh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Joseph Buresh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Denese Gordon of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Doris Wagner of Barnhart, Mo.; brother, Richard Carver of Vinton, Iowa; five grandchildren; several
great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Buresh; brothers, Russell and Ralph Carver; and sister-in-law, Judy Carver.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Diana Buresh.
