Mary L. Pollock, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, in Cottage Grove Place. Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mary was born Jan. 30, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Grisham) Rundall. She married James Leroy Pollock on May 10, 1958, in Marion, Iowa. Mary loved children. She was a day care provider for over 40 years. She enjoyed cooking, camping, music and working on word find puzzles. She was a strong-willed person.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James; her son, Marc Robert (Nikki) Pollock of Middle Amana; her daughter, Mary Michelle (Al) Gardner of Cedar Rapids; her daughter-in-law, Michele (Fry) Pollock of Cedar Rapids; her brothers, Larry Rundall of McAllen, Texas, Duane Rundall of Cedar Rapids and Ivan Rundall of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Liz Keleher of Marion; and her grandchildren, Mellody Pollock, Brent Gardner, Hailey Pollock and Starr Oseguera.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Pollock; and her sister, Bev Carsner.
