Mary Jensen Noble, 81, of Keosauqua, died 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren, Keosauqua.
She was born Sept. 20, 1933, in Amherst, Ohio, to the Rev. Roy and Marie Mueller Jensen, and married David R. Noble on June 2, 1956, in Elyria, Ohio. He died Dec. 16, 2010. The Nobles lived many years in Cedar Rapids, where Mary taught pre-school. They moved to Douds in 1989 and Mary moved to Keosauqua in 2011.
She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Twin City Chapter 258, Order of Eastern Star and John Hyson Reneker Unit 494 American Legion Auxiliary, all in Douds, and Chapter AD, PEO, Milton.
Surviving are three daughters, Katherine Smith and husband Steve of Coralville, Deborah Finney and husband Jon of Keosauqua and Mary Kimpston and husband Bruce of Ankeny; and five grandchildren, Jonathan and Elizabeth Finney, Alicia Smith and Chris and Emily Kimpston.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Neal and Roy Jensen.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Christ United Methodist Church, Douds, with the Rev. Mark Young officiating. Visitation, with family present, will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church before the service. Burial will in Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds.
Memorials to Christ United Methodist Church or Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 17248 Hwy. 1, Keosauqua, IA 52565.
