Mary Dorothy Manternach, 83, of Manchester, passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at her home in rural Manchester.
Left to cherish her memory are 11 children, Carol (Steve) Retz of Streamwood, Ill., Michael and Alan, both of Manchester, Lynn (Tony) Fritz of Brighton, Kent (Jan) of Osceola, Francis of Manchester, Jill Jensen of Marengo, Jan (Annette) and Amy (David) Eberle, both of Cedar Rapids, Tim (Gianna) of Strawberry Point and Tom (Michele) of Eddyville; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren plus two on the way; and her brother, Jerome (Kathy) Callan of Manchester.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis, on July 20, 1991; a grandson, Henry Andreas; and her brother, James Callan.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, by the Rev. Joseph Schneider. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory in Manchester, with a Scripture service at 2 p.m., and one hour before services Wednesday at the church. Interment: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
