Mary M. Fritts, 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, November 7, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. No services will be held at the request of Mary. She will be buried at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband, Rex; and one son, David Fritts of Centreville, Virginia.
Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane K. Fritts; parents, Harold John and Margaret M. Baxter of Aurora, Missouri; and her grandparents, Elbert Gaines and Madeline Maichel.
She graduated with a BSE from the University of Arkansas, located in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1964. While there she was the treasurer of Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Gamma. After graduation, she married Rex E. Fritts of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids and was a regular attender at Parkview Church in Iowa City. She was a homemaker and was involved with all aspects of coaching and judging artistic roller skating. Her interests were genealogy, computers, photography, videotaping, and anything to do with music. She played flute, piano, and the organ. Mary also volunteered her time at several other endeavors.
