Mary Lou (Jones) Hand passed away peacefully Oct. 9, 2016, and joined her husband, John, in heaven to play golf and cards. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mary Lou moved to Florida in 2010 to be in warmer weather in the winter time. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan, having attended many football and basketball games when she lived in Iowa. She would still watch the games on television in Florida.
Mary Lou and her infectious laugh will be missed.
Survivors include her son, John (Sue) Hand, and daughter, Susan (Larry) Thompson. Mary Lou was a loving grandmother of four and a great-grandmother of eight.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed in 2005.
