Mary Leona LeGrand, 96, of Amana, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Colonial Manor. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2024, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids with visitation to begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website tribute page for Mary under “photos and videos” at 11 a.m. November 25.
Mary was born June 27, 1928, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of John and Susan (Story) Kass. She married Victor J. LeGrand. Mary started working at John Keskinen Janitorial Services in 1968 and celebrated 40 years of service when she retired. She enjoyed going out to dinner and going to Meskwaki Casino.
Survivors include her children, David (Janice) LeGrand, William “Bill” LeGrand and his special friend Billie, and Diane Shultz; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Bud Kass and Rita LeGrand; and sister-in-law, Kay Kass.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, nine sisters, and one brother.
