Mary Patricia Keller, 65,
of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Jude Catholic Church by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. A vigil service
will be held at 3:45 p.m. Monday at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may visit with the family
following the vigil service until 7 p.m. and Tuesday after 9 a.m. at the church.
Mary is survived by her sister, Barbara Maul of St. Peters, Mo.; son, Justin Keller; daughter, Patricia Petre; and friend of 40 years, Annie Foster, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.
Mary was born on March 9, 1952, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Joseph Bagen and Ruth Frembgen Bagen. She moved to Cedar Rapids and graduated from Jefferson High School. Mary worked in the bakery at Woolworth's and at St. Luke's Hospital as a cook. She also volunteered at many nursing homes. Mary was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Mary had many friends and enjoyed helping others. She adored her kids and also her nieces and nephews, April, Sheena and Andy.
