Mary "Jean" Davis, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.
A memorial Mass celebrating Jean's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church on Saturday. Inurnment will be held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ryan, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Ross; son, Mark Davis of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Diane (Brian) Johnson of Detroit; and also surviving are five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Mary Jean Lyness was born Nov. 9, 1926, in Ryan, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd and Nellie (McGraw) Lyness. On Aug. 20, 1960, she married Ross Davis in Cedar Rapids. Jean was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, enjoyed cooking and especially enjoyed being with her family.
