Mary J. Cahill, 88, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021. Graveside services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Mary was born Dec. 4, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Ronald and Hazel (Krause) Lacy. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1949. On Jan. 11, 1950, Mary married Patrick Cahill in Tacoma, Wash. She retired from Rockwell Collins in 1984 and moved to Oklahoma where she worked for Murphy's Electronics in Tulsa for a short time.
Survivors include her children, Patricia (Allen) Heintz of North English, Iowa, Steven (Brenda) Cahill of Palo, Iowa, and Kevin (Trisha) Cahill, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Lacy of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Patrick Jr.; son, Ronald; and siblings, Doris Lafler and Philip (Beatrice) Lacy.
