MARY IBELING

Mary Ibeling, 89, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Mount Vernon, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, in Mesa. There were no services; her body was cremated.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; two children, Connie Shoemaker, Hot Springs, Ark., and Tena Galiher (Mike), Mount Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ida Stanley.
Mary Smith, born Nov. 26, 1925, lived much of her life in the Cedar Rapids area before moving to Mesa. She worked at Collins Radio and Kirkwood Community College. She married Donald Ibeling in November 1960.
Mary's final and favorite career was that of china painting at which she excelled. She taught the art to many and was also published in the field.
Mary had a sweet and giving spirit that she shared with many who loved her and will miss her.
