Mary A. Hansen, 84, of Iowa City, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2014, at her home. In respect of Mary's wishes, no local services will be held.
Mary's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Iowa City Hospice for the compassionate care that was shown to Mary and her family during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Cystic Fibrosis Research at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Survivors include her son, Rusty (Becky Soglin) of Iowa City; and two daughters, Jennifer Hansen of Duluth, Minn., and Kathleen Hansen (Bob Montgomery) of Iowa City.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; son, Paul Jay; and brothers, Frederick "Bud" and Harold "H.J."
