Mary Ann Hansen, 65, of Jesup, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.
Mary was born Aug. 27, 1951, in Walker, Iowa, the daughter of Gerald W. and Gladys R. (Hilmer) Main. She graduated from Independence High School in 1970, and later studied floral design at Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids. For many years, she worked as a cook and server at Kabods in Jesup and R & R cafe in Independence. She enjoyed her work and talking with customers.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Ogden, Jesup; a granddaughter, Bailey Ogden, Jesup; three brothers, Robert Main, Newton, Charles Main, Springfield, Tenn., and Jerry Main, Independence; a sister, Jan Bradley, Jesup; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Becky Hansen; and a sister, Ruth Hansen.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at Backbone State Park.
