Mary Grace (Stull) Beck, 83, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, passed away March 31, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Mary Grace (Stull) Beck was born on Feb 27, 1939, in Tama County, Iowa, to Ora Clyde and Florence (Hand) Stull. Mary was a compassionate, beautiful soul with a smile that would brighten any room. Mary graduated Capri Cosmetology in 1972 and spent most of her career as a hairdresser in Belle Plaine. Mary was a caregiver by nature. She managed Washington Manor Assisted Living in Belle Plaine for several years before moving to Scottsdale, Ariz. Mary worked at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital as a caregiver in Oncology and NICU. After retirement, Mary relocated back to her home town of Belle Plaine.
Mary is survived by her six children, Norm (Kara) Atchison of Taiwan, Mike (Jan) Atchison of Rhodes, Rod (Mary) Atchison of Kansas City, Nathan "Sam" (Amy) Beck of Belle Plaine, Kevin (Tracy) Beck of Kearney, Mo., and Angie (Jim) Marks of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, Devon Stenlake, Michael Atchison, Kari Atchison, Megan Ellsworth, Ryan Atchison, Luke Atchison, Kyle Atchison, JR Climer, Jennifer Miller, Derrick Beck, Travis Beck, Shawn Blankenship, Russell Beck, Austin Beck, Colby Marks and Sawyer Marks; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandbaby.
Mary's pride and joy was her family. She also was known for her green thumb and her love of cooking and baking for others.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; 10 siblings; and four great-grandnewborns.
Service is 10 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2022, at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine, with Nathan Ellsworth officiating. Service will also be livestreamed through the funeral service Facebook page. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine.
Visitation is 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and will be distributed to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
