Mary Frasher, 67, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at the Hospice of the Valley, Gardner Home, in Phoenix, Ariz., following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Anamosa, where friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, is caring for Mary and her family.
She is survived by a niece, Pam (Bill) Gates, Phoenix, Ariz.; a nephew, Jerry (Kristy) Frasher, Anamosa; and a sister-in-law, Marlene Frasher, Marion.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John, and his first wife, Diane.
Mary was born Feb. 13, 1948, in Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Thomas and Amy (Jamison) Frasher. Mary graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools in 1966. Mary helped her parents on the farm and also assisted her mother when she was catering. She loved to spend time with or talk about her great-nieces and nephew. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
