Mary E. DeSotel, 54, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017.
Mary was born April 20, 1963, to Merle and Marjorie (Bloom) DeSotel. She graduated in 1981 from North Linn High School in Troy Mills. Mary found joy in taking care of children in a daycare. She cherished her time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her three siblings, Marcia Burns of Cedar Rapids, Lorri Ripperda of Hills, Minn., and Brian (Gidget) DeSotel of Walker; and nieces and nephews, Myla and Greg Burns, Aubrey Juarez, Sarah Boese and Derek and Brionna DeSotel.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a nephew, Eric Burns.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Mary was a beloved sister who will be greatly missed.
