MARY ALICE (KOHL) COWLES

Mary Alice (Kohl) Cowles passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2017, at the age of 74 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A celebration of life will be held at her grandson's residence, 6300 Westwind Rd., Cedar Rapids, IA 52411, on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 3 to 7 p.m. with a buffet beginning at 5 p.m.
Mary is survived by her husband, Larry Cowles; two daughters; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mary was born and raised in Cedar Rapids. After graduating from high school, she worked at Rockwell Collins and later on at Square D, from where she retired.
Mary was creative and loved doing a variety of crafts. She loved the outdoors and tending to her gardens.
She will be severely missed but never forgotten.
