Mary Anne (Schmitz) Carmody, 76, of Osage, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at her home in Osage, surrounded by her family after battling pancreatic cancer. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, with a rosary at 5:30 p.m. and vigil service at 7 p.m.
Mary Anne is survived by her husband, Michael A. Carmody of Osage; her children, Kathy (Jack) Slinker of Indianola, David (Jacqueline) Carmody of Cedar Rapids, Dennis (Deb) Carmody of Center Point, John (Debra) Carmody of King George, Va., and Tish (Jeremy) Owen of Grimes; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Jim) Dolan of Clermont, Karen (Jerry) Carter of Los Angeles, Calif., Joan (Keith) Zieser of Vinton and Linda (Terry) Dunham of Urbana; and brother, Keith (Nancy) Schmitz of Urbana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nancy Schmitz.
