Mary Kathleen Buhrman, 72, of Walker, Minn., passed away Aug. 13, 2015, at her home. There will be a celebration of life Oct. 11 at Palo
Community Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mary was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Joe and Lillian Tesarik. She married Gus Buhrman, her loving companion of 54 years, in 1961. They were blessed with four loving daughters: Heidi (Joe) Drummy of Victor, Amy (James) Winfrey of O'Fallon, Ill., Jeni Buhrman and her significant other, Bill Kreutzer, of Cedar Rapids, and Tammy (Steve) Soucy of Merrimack, N.H.; 12 devoted grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mary retired from Cedar Rapids School Trans-portation as a bus driver for 28 years which she truly loved. She also loved to travel with her husband, stopping at many casinos they traveled past, bowling, and gardening, of which they shared their produce with many. Last but not least, she was an excellent cook which she also shared with many. She loved to spend time with her children and grandkids and socializing with the many friends she had. She will be truly missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, mother and her loving companion (dog) of 19 years, Crisco.
