Mary Lucile Brown, 86, of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at the Halcyon House in Washington.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with Father Bernie Weir officiating. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Prayer services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington at a later date.
A memorial has been established for Halcyon House Good Samaritan Fund or Hospice of Washington County.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Peggy Walton and husband Dennis of Marengo, Iowa; son, Don Brown and wife Shirley of Washington, Iowa; son, Ron Brown and wife Linda of Washington, Iowa; son, Gale Brown and wife Nancy of Oskaloosa, Iowa; son, Ed Brown and wife Mary of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Lynne Thomas of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Martha Baker and husband Dan of Wayland, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, Jeff Walton, Deb Quinlan, Emily Walton, Steve Brown, Eric Brown, Karen Kuhlman, Richard Brown, Cary Brown, Jana Brown-Watts, Tom Brown, Adam Brown, Matt Brown, Brett Thomas, Chelci Baker and Miranda Baker; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Delores Brown of Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
