Iowa Falls
Mary Azeltine, 85, of Hubbard, formerly of Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, at the Hubbard Care Center. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.
Mary Rebecca Heim was born Sept. 30, 1931, to Fred and Maude (Pollard) Heim, in Mounds, Okla. She graduated from Dows High School in 1949 and later earned her master of library science degree from the University of Iowa in 1982. Mary was united in marriage to W. Dean Azeltine. She
retired from the Cedar Rapids Public Library in 1997.
Mary is survived by her sons Jeffrey (Laurie) Azeltine, Gregory (Susan) Azeltine and Bradley (Kyoung Hui) Azeltine; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her sister, Viola Hill; and her brother, Omer Heim.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her two sons, Michael and Anthony; her two sisters, Effie Heim and Ina Mae Gardalen; and her brother, Lester Heim.
