Mary Ann Tardiff, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday July 20, 2024, at Northbrook Manor.
Mary was born on June 5, 1935, and raised on a ranch in Mc Cook, Nebraska, Red Willow County was the youngest daughter of Forrest and Mildred Poore. She graduated from McCook High School 1954.
She and her family attended the Memorial Methodist Church in McCook.
She is the last of eight children, Her siblings, Wayne, Bill, Don, Dale, Marge, Bonnie, and Rex.
She met Ron while attending school in Denver Colorado and was married to Ronald Tardiff Sr. on January 28, 1956, in Mc Cook, Nebraska. They were married 68 years.
They spent life raising the family in America as Ron was in the military and they moved frequently, landing in Alamogordo NM in 1973. They spent many years in Alamogordo working and enjoying retirement. They moved to Cedar Rapids in 2017.
Mary was a loyal and faithful wife, mother, sister, daughter, homemaker, working mom, and grandmother. She enjoyed her family, Bingo and anywhere Ron went.
Survivors include her children, Diana Sue Buswell and husband Darryl, Ronald Edmond Tardiff Jr. and wife Christine, Judith Ann Jaramillo and husband Alex and Forrest Ronald Tardiff, wife Shannon and daughter Rhonda Marie Cluff. Her Grandchildren: Isabelle, Dustin, Andrew, Steven, Shawn, Jason and Alex. Her Great Grandchildren: Bobbi, Willow Buswell, Dustin, Aurora and Freya Still. Jacob Timothy and Marissa Morgan McQuown.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Edmond Tardiff (2023), her siblings and her parents, Forrest and Mildred Poore.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Services: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday August 6, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home oversees the arrangements.
