Our precious mother, Mary Ann Diehl, at 97 years of age, went home peacefully to be with Jesus on May 7, 2023, surrounded by her family at the Mercy Hospice House.
Left to cherish her life are her children, Dianne (Ellison), Gary, Jim, Mary Jane (Woodward), John, Dan, and their families. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Diehl, and her daughter, Barbara.
Services will be held at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories on Thursday, May 11, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and the funeral service starting at noon A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the Cedar Memorial website under the obituary for Mary Ann Diehl, under the video tab starting at noon on Thursday, May 11. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Our family would like to thank the Emery Place and Hospice of Mercy caregivers for the extraordinary kindnesses extended to her and the Diehl family. Special thanks to her favorite “neighbor,” Dottie Moxom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa.
