MARY ANN CONRAD
Marengo
Mary Ann Conrad, 85, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, at her home. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established.
Mary Ann is survived by her son, Gary of Marengo; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Dean Conrad, in 2008; and a sister, Lavona Jansen.
Mary Ann Wauters was born Oct. 3, 1930, in Ladora, Iowa, the daughter of Louis Wauters and Alice DeBrower Wauters. She received her early education in country schools and graduated from Hartwick High School in 1948. Mary Ann and Wayne Dean Conrad were married May 10, 1950, at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Victor. She was employed for many years at
Me Too Grocery in Marengo.
Mary Ann enjoyed doing many different craft projects and quilting. She took pride in the garden she grew and liked to take tractor rides. Mary Ann also looked forward to the yearly trip to the Threshers Reunion in Mount Pleasant.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
