Mary Lynn Alfrey, 59, of Springdale, Ark., died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Washington Regional Hospital.
Mary was born March 29, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of George and Margaret (Beadle) Ludlow. She was a 1974 graduate of Cedar Rapids Washington High School. She went on to earn her marketing and finance degree from the University of Iowa in 1978.
Mary served as executive director of the Susan G. Komen Ozark Affiliate in Springdale, Ark. She was an active member of her community and served on many organizations throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Ludlow.
Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer DenHartog and her husband, Kyle, of Waterloo and Kayla Alfrey of Little Rock, Ark.; mother, Margaret Ludlow of Marion; and sister, Susan Fischer and her husband, Craig, of Leawood, Kan.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, 4520 N. Crossover Rd., Fayetteville, Ark. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Central United Methodist Church, 6 E. Dickson St., Fayetteville, by Pastor Dr. John C. Robbins. A celebration of life will be at a later date in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
