Marvin John Stallman passed away January 6, 2024 at the Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Marvin was born May 25, 1941, the 8th child of Louis and Elsie (Frimml) Stallman. Marvin was raised on the family farm. He attended school in Norway, Iowa where he played baseball and basketball.
Marvin entered the Air Force on October, 1961 where he served four years.
Marvin and Deanna Duncalf were married at Immaculate Church in Van Horne, Iowa on April 20, 1963. Marvin was a member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Local 125 and retired November 1, 2001.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Deanna; five children and grandchildren, Mike (Natalie) Stallman - Kolby (Kaeli), Jarrett (Ela) and Treven, Greg (Lisa) Stallman, Renee (Steve) Pree - Jake and deceased Josh, Kurt (Susie) Stallman - Sara (Jon) Larson, Austin and Reed, and Chad (Jody) Stallman - Zac and Addie; sisters Rita Peck, Celestine Duncalf, Doris (Ed) Ballard, Beatrice Stallman; brothers-in-law Larry Ockenfels, Richard Bradke; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hiawatha. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Teahen Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. on Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Metro Catholic Food Bank, McCauley Center, Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha or the charity of your choice.
