Marvin W. Halvorson, 74, of Conroy, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at his home. Funeral services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at First Lutheran Church, Conroy, with the Rev. Donald Dovre officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the church.
A general memorial fund has been established.
Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Rita; three children, Dodie Meyers (Joe) of Mechanicsville, Bonnie Lohrer (Steve) of Conroy and Nels Halvorson (Jennifer) of Ladora; and 11 grand-children, Michael and Madison Lohrer of Conroy, Amelia, Josie, Rachel, Sam, Macy, Alex and Eli Meyers of Mechanics-ville and Brittany and Erin Halvorson of Ladora. Also surviving is a brother, Ron Halvorson (Cora) of Missouri Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Norma Helgeson Halvorson.
