Martin, Paul M.
Paul M. Martin, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. David Grandon will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his children, Tom Wuertz of Denver, Colo., Bonnie (Tom) Clarey of Marion, Dan (Cynthia) Martin of Cedar Rapids, and Michael Martin of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Burt (Carol) Martin; and sisters, Laura (Bill) Wolters, and Betty (Paul) Winters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcine; parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Paul was born April 3, 1932, in Germantown, the son of Albert and Bessie (Gibbs) Martin. He married Marcine Jennings on Dec. 27, 1958, in Sutherland. She preceded Paul in death on July 8, 2002. Paul was a United States Navy veteran serving from 1949 until 1954. He retired from Rockwell Collins as a Laboratory Technician in 1993, after 33 years of employment.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
