MARTIN JOHN DAHL

Martin John Dahl, 58, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 22, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital. There will be a Celebration of Life service held a later date. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two brothers, Michael (Jodi) and Marshal (Janis), all of Cedar Rapids; a half-sister, Betsy Ward of Lake City, Fla.; and a special friend, Linda Hazewinkel of Cedar Rapids. He also is survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Ann.
Martin was born on Jan. 1, 1960, in Waterloo, the son of Lanford and Virginia Rodgers Dahl. He was employed by a local manufacturer in their janitorial department.
Martin was a gifted artist and excelled in both drawing and painting. He enjoyed all types of music and playing his guitar. He was a fun-loving guy who would do anything for his family and friends. He forever will be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
