Martin, Iris 'Arlene' (Erdman)
Iris “Arlene” (Erdman) Martin, 95, of Sigourney, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney, where she had resided since May 2004. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, at the Sigourney Christian Church, Sigourney. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Powell Funeral Home, Sigourney. Burial: Mount Zion Cemetery, Martinsburg, Iowa.
Survivors include three sons, Darrell (Linda) Martin of San Antonio, Texas, Warren Martin of Oskaloosa, and Wayne (Maria) Martin of Minneapolis, Minn.; two daughters, Mary Ann Jaacks of Marion, and Marjorie Lamb of Clive; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Jone Martin.
Preceding her in death besides her husband, include her parents; a son, Clair; a sister, Mary Long; and a brother in infancy.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Arlene's memory.
Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Sigourney is caring for Arlene and her family.
