MARTIN GARDNER

Martin K. Gardner, 69, of Brighton, Colo., passed away March 17, 2016.
He was born March 10, 1947, in Vinton, Iowa, to Donald Gardner and Helen Sparks. He attended and graduated from Vinton Washington High School in 1966 and continued his education receiving training in many different areas of business management.
Martin worked as the CEO for East Central Iowa Rural Electric for 35 years. He then moved to Brighton to be closer to family.
In his spare time he loved camping, working on classic muscle cars and enjoyed working with his hands making furniture. He also was skilled using a plasma cutter to design metal art work. Martin always was dedicated to the task at hand. He was a family man, who enjoyed being a "Dad," and always saw the best in everyone around him.
Martin is survived by his wife, Linda Gardner of Brighton; son, Eric (Tiffany) Gardner of Brighton; brother, Gary (Nancy) Gardner of Dysart; sister, Cindy (John) Newton of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Niki, Lauren, Tori and Kayla.
Celebration of Life services will be at a later date.
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton, Colo., is handling arrangements.
