Martha "Mardie" Wilson, 92, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Friends may call from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. A private family service and interment in Hopkinton Cemetery will be on Monday.

Surviving are her son, Kyle (Wanda) Wilson; two grandchildren, Wendy (Don) Hunter and Kory (Amy) Wilson; and five great-grandchildren, Holly, Cody, Olivia, Addie and Karlie, all of Hopkinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd, in 2005; two brothers and two sisters.
Martha Emily Rubly was born March 21, 1923, in Manchester, Iowa. She attended the rural schools near her home. Mardie and Lloyd were married Sept. 23, 1943, in Rochester, Minn. The couple lived in Hopkinton and Mardie worked as a cook for the Maquoketa Valley Schools in Hopkinton and Delhi.
